The cost of a driveway depends on the complexity of the design, the materials used and the square footage. Each project is different and there are a number of different factors that could affect the overall total cost for the job.

• The slope (This ensures that there is proper drainage)
• The area is an odd shape
• It is a shared driveway
• Repaving over an existing layer that is damaged.
• Interlock has been requested (There are different price points)
• Will our equipment fit? (If not it can be labour intensive and may take longer)
In order to compare quote/estimates it is important to ask what is included in the price. How many inches of gravel and asphalt is being layed.
Paving is a big decision and a major undertaking. It requires expensive equipment and the right people. If a price seems too good to be true over the phone and is much lower than your other estimates, it would be a reason for caution.
